Gerry Kline
(B.A. Boston University) has been breeding, training, showing and hunting Cocker Spaniels and Black and Tan Coonhounds for over 40 years. She has been an obedience instructor for over 35 years and has put titles on 10 of her Black and Tans as well as having shown them in conformation both thin the AKC ring and UKC shows, having finished many champions, having gone Best of Breed at Westminster.She and one of her Black and Tans obtained a certificate in obstacle course (precursor to agility) . She was cofounder of and lead trainer for the Companion Animal Association of Arizona Assistance Dog Program and one of its founders and mentors for the Pet Grief Program.
Gerry was also a volunteer and trainer for the Red Acre Hearing Dog Program. She has been active working with 4-H dog project youngsters. Gerry is a tester/observer for Therapy Dogs Incorporated and has been a handler/dog team with her Black and Tans. She and her dogs have done theater, cable TV, TV Commercials, and photo shoots. She has been a licensed obedience judge for UKC and the Australian Shepherd Club of America.
She was a charter member and Officer of the American Eskimo Club of New England, and has served on the board of other dog clubs and as Chief Steward of AKC obedience trials
